New Puppy

I know it has only been 1 month since our Lucy Passed but our dogs Ashur and Pugman were sad as well as Randy. They were all mopey, Ashur was grunting and groaning as only a pug can do, Pugman well it was hard to tell if he really missed her. Randy still had bouts of sadness and crying. I was looking around on the web for available pure bred puppies and came across an ad that had only been online for 3 hours. There was only one female in that litter. I showed Randy her photo and he said thats the one. I called the breeder and found out she was still available. On Sat. We made the 2.5 hour trip to the breeders home saw the parents and picked up our newest family member Maggie. I can already tell a difference in the pug boys. Ashur is not moaning and groaning and Pugman is playing with her. Randy is smiling and happy. Not so much sadness. And Me will I have to tell you that I was also grieving for Lucy and Maggie may look like her but has such a different personality that we could not confuse the 2. This is one of our first photos of her.

NAMIWALKS May 28,,2011

Hi everyone,
I would like to tell you about an upcoming event that I am participating in that is both very important and very exciting to me. NAMIWalks, the signature walkathon event of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is being held in St. Louis, MO at Upper Muny Parking Lot in Forest Park on May 28, 2011.

I have worked in the Mental Health Field for the past 18 years. This is one event that my office supports. We also receive half of what we raise back to help our clients out when they have needs they can't cover. Last year we were able to provide several of our clients with airconditoner's, pay enough on an electric bill to keep the electric on and then we helped them make a realistic budget to keep up to date on their bills. The funds we receive from this walk give help to our clients that we would not normally be able to provide.

I would like to ask you to come and walk with me or to donate to support my participation in this great event. Visit my personal walker page to sign up: http://www.nami.org/namiwalks11/STL/DebbieCraineAKADebc06.
It features a link to my team's page where you can see who else is walking with me. There is also a link so you can donate directly to me online. Donating online is fast and secure, and I'll get immediate notification via e-mail of your donation.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the largest education, support and advocacy organization that serves the needs of all whose lives are touched by these illnesses. This includes persons with mental illness, their families, friends, employers, the law enforcement community and policy makers.
The NAMI organization is composed of approximately 1100 local affiliates, 50 state offices and a national office. The goals of the NAMIWalks program are: to fight the stigma that surrounds mental illness, to build awareness of the fact that the mental health system in this country needs to be improved, and to raise funds for NAMI so that they can continue their mission.
NAMI is a 501(c)3 charity and any donation you make to support my participation in this event is tax deductible. NAMI has been rated by Worth magazine as among the top 100 charities "most likely to save the world" and has been given an "A" rating by The American Institute of Philanthropy for efficient and effective use of charitable dollars. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,
Debbie Craine

Lets see what May Brings

April wasn't so kind to us hopefully May will be better. I have not felt like crafting at all but I have kept up with all the blogs I follow. We are looking for a new pug puppy so if anyone in Missouri knows of a good breeder please let me know.
Oh My Mother's day is only 6 days away I better get started on my Card for mom and my sister. I have was selected by random.org and K. Andrews to receive some Nikki Sivils paper I am excited and can hardly wait till it gets here. I think that is what I will be making Mom day cards with. There has been some wonderful blog hops going on and did you all tune in for the Cricut E2 anniversary addition? Sigh I was not one of the lucky winners of an E2 but hey my baby bug and I have gotten along quite well and hopefully we will continue merrily along. Well this is rather long for me but hope everyone has a great mothers day. Congrats to everyone who tried out and was selected by the design team of your choice. We'll talk soon.
Hugs
Debbie
