More snow

We got a little more snow last night which covered the ice at the bottom of the steps to get to the back yard. The fur babies are not having quite as hard a time getting up and down the stairs now. I wrapped all the gifts I had to wrap last night. Still waiting on a few to come in the mail. Have the Cali kids gifts put together, Becky will be here tonight to pick them up. She is going to mail them out tomorrow. Have been doing quite a bit of crocheting and knitting the last few months and have most of my hand made gift list completed. We put our Christmas tree up on Sunday and I have been loving the lights. Well off to do some more crocheting. Hope everyone is safe if you have bad weather and if not enjoy your good weather.

Winter Wonderland

It started snowing here on Thursday December 5. We got about 5 in of snow here in Festus. First time schools closed for weather and they have not reopened as yet. We have rural areas and the roads are not graded or treated. I am glad that I can stand to be in the house and piddle around otherwise I would have gone stir crazy by now. Randy and I got out today, paid a bill, did a bit of Christmas shopping and bought some new dog food to start mixing in with what we have now. Dinner at Ponderosa Buffet filled the car and then back home for a cozy nite in. If you had snow hope you had fun with it. I managed to crochet 2 hats and a set of wristlets or fingerless gloves. Now to get the Christmas cards addressed and in the mail.

When it rains it Pours.

Well in the last few weeks we have had the hot water heater go out and the wind blew some shingles off the roof. I was feeling pretty down until I did the Unity Blog Hop today. There was a repeating sentiment that occurred it was Good things are going to happen. Its like the Lord knew I was at a low spot, serious car accident that I am not totally recovered from, position eliminated at work and then the hot water heater and the roof, and sent me this hop today to remind me that he is leading me to where I should be. Thank you lord.

Wensday and Thursday

11/6-11/7/2013 Had PT on Wed. Found some good bargains at Joanns and Just hung out with the puppies. Thursday Randy was home from work and we went for a ride to see the fall colors, had lunch at Ponderosa and then just hung out at home doing what we do. He in front of his computer in one room and me in front of mine in another room. Found a lot of giveaways online and entered hope I score some of them. Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend.

Tuesday11-5-13

Was a busy day at home yesterday. 3 loads of laundry done and put away, Pot of ham and beans cooked, and started steak and gravy for Randy. Went to big lots and found 2 cds Carole King and Cyndi Lauper. Saving them for when Randy is gone. He's one of those tv on for white noise when he's at home by himself, I on the other hand can have complete quiet or my favorite Cd's playing. Good for my crafting or even cleaning.

Monday

Wow was a semi-busy day. Physical Therapy, shopping at walmart, laundry, dishes etc.. I need to get a routine started now that I am no longer employed. Plan on working on the bedroom and some on my craft room and get them walkable. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday its a no PT day for me so all my at home things will be addressed, going to put a pot of ham and beans on cause it just sounds good. and hopefully be able to do some card making.

Had a wonderful day yesterday. Sage, Sassy, Sassy's mom Carolyn and I all attended an all day crop. Got several cards made and will be going to another crop at the end of the month with them. I love having creative time with no interruptions which is what you get at a crop. Turn your phone off and just create. You also get the benefit of your friends input on a project if you are unsure of the elements or colors you have used. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Well I see I have ignored this blog for quite a while. Lots of things have happened over the past year or so. Was in a serious car accident in Jan 28, 2013 which totaled my car and shattered my left femur and fractured my left hip. Pins were put in and after a 2 week hospital stay and 1 week rehab stay I was able to go home on Feb 15. After PT and healing was able to return to work in June of 2013. Hmmm worked for 4 months and then after 20 years of employment my position was eliminated on October 7, 2013. So Right now I am back doing PT for a frozen shoulder and am trying to get back into the crafting habit. Hope to be on here more often. Any legitimate work at home offers or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Oh my its almost the end of April and I am just now posting. I have been making card bases and some bracelets for a birthday present. Lost a co-worker this month I had worked with over 15 years. Paid off my car whew what a great feeling no more car payment. Here in Missouri the weather has been changing regularly and so the arthritus is rearing its ugly head quite a bit. Sleep has been hard to come by for more than 3 or 4 hours. Will be really glad when the warm weather is here for good. Maggie has been living up to her nickname Maggie the destroyer. Anything she can get her mouth around ends up being destroyed. Well been nice chatting I'll talk with you again in May. Debbie

Craft Room

I am slowly getting my craftroom organized. Cleaned out the closet and reorganzied the stuff in there even managed to get my 2 tubs from the craft fairs in there. Had a big bag of boxes leave the room Ok yes I was saving them for chipboard but heck Randy gets enough boxes in that I can have one whenever the need strikes.

I am in a creative slump right now but will try to get it back. I am teaching myself to knit and so far have half a scarf done. Thats about as creative as I am right now. Have a wonderful March
